Each year hoopers around the world gather to celebrate the circle, the community, and the sharing that comes from hoops. World Hoop Day started one year on 7-7-7 and has continued until this year on 11-11-11! Thanks to everyone that came out to the Dovercourt House! We had a packed room for most of the jam, bringing together east and west sides, new and ninja hoopers, summer and winter revelers alike We collected donations for Second Harvest, an organization that brings leftover food from restaurants and grocery stores to hungry people in the city.  We raised $205, that's $410 meals!...

There were street acts from around the world, and some of the BEST in the world; my favourites were  Witty Look from Japan, Daredevil Chicken Club and Magic Brian from the US, Alakazam from Auz! Woweeee! So much talent and experience and energy and inspiration! I loved performing...

Highlights include : the RBC lion mascot, elderly Malaysian cooks at the food stand next to our spot, and multiple groups of bros who egged each other to try and then fought over who got to go next! Councilor Finley escaped without hooping. Next time, councilor, next time. The second friday I...
